Style 101: Denim Night

On October 29th, Fashion Club hosted our very first Style 101 Night of the year! Here is a little recap of the night for those of you who couldn't make it!

We had a various selection of cute denim patches and enamel pins set up for our members and guests! We also offered a couple of pencil pouches to press on some adorable patches on top of. The night started off with a mini presentation of popular denim trends seen throughout many decades and popular denim trends we see a lot of today.

This includes popular denim related items such as: the Canadian Tuxedo, acid-washed denim, low rise to high rise jeans, and oversized denim jackets. Some things we touched on that are trending this year include embroidery on denim, pearl and gemstone embellishments, logo and trademark patches, and destroyed hems.

We talked about a mix of denim companies that we think make quality jeans that look good on our bodies and are inexpensive. Some of our favorite companies listed included Fashion Nova, Target, H&M, Old Navy, and American Eagle. We think these brands provide quality denim which is durable, flattering, and comfortable!

When the presentation was over,we began to select our patches and pins and headed to the fashion lab to press them on! We hope everyone who showed up had fun choosing their patches and decorating their own denim pieces! Thank you for coming and we hope to see you again for future Fashion Club Events!
